The South Korean car maker is coming up with new hatchback car in 2018: Hyundai Santro. Auto expert’s assumption on launch price is in the range of Rs. 4 Lakh to 5.5 Lakh, depends on different variants of the car. The launch is expected this year in the month of June. New Hyundai Santro is expected to fit between Grand i10 and Hyundai Eon, which make it an entry level small car.

Legacy of the Old Santro
Before we get onto talking about the new and upcoming Santro we might as well appreciate the legacy of the old one which lasted the market for as long as 16 amazing years and was also the one that helped Hyundai sell its one-millionth car back in the year 2007. The car was first released in 1998 and was a big hit until it was discontinued in 2014. The car then came out and challenged the likes of Maruti 800 and Tata Indica.
New Next Gen Santro
The all-new Santro is supposed to be one of the major cars released in 2018 and is expected to make its debut for the public at the auto expo of 2018 at expo martin Greater Noida. Hyundai participating in the expo is also expected to display cars like the i20 facelift, the SUV Carlino, and Creta facelift. The auto expo is also expected to have Electric vehicles.
Getting back to talking of the new Santro it was reported that the car was recently spotted testing in Europe before its launch and was also spotted several times on the roads of India as well. The car is being brought down by the company to fight rivals of the likes of Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and Tata Tiago.
The car is expected to deliver a 0.8 and 1-litre engine and as per reports on the internet the car is expected to have an automatic transmission variant as well against the 5 gear manual transmission.
The automatic transmission is expected to owe to the high demand for it in the entry-level segment cars. The engine will run on petrol and will possibly be delivering all the modern accessories and a modern look for the car for it to compete with its rivals.
We are expecting it to run 19-22 kilometers on a liter of petrol and will be priced at approximately 4.1 to 5.5 Lakhs. The car will also be rectifying the shortcomings of its popular predecessor for its new launch. Based on the Hyundai fluidic 2.0 concept the car will possibly be launched right after it’s unveiling at the auto expo of 2018.
